| Procedures for leaving SA: |
| Please notify Department of Home Affairs by sending an e-mail to: |

| Please include your name, surname, passport number, flight details and reason for travel. |
| You will then receive a generic auto reply. This is all you need as proof – please print this out and take it with you when you travel. |

| Procedures for entering SA: |
| Please contact the SA embassy in the country you are currently in and inform them of your intentions. Once you have been cleared to fly, you may proceed with your repatriation flight booking. |
| Quarantine |
| You will be subjected to a mandatory 10 day Quarantine. You may apply for self quarantine under very strict conditions. |

| SELF QUARANTINE: |
| There is a 3 hour travel limit from the port of entry or government quarantine to your available self-quarantine site allowed. |
| Current regulations do not allow you to cross provincial boundaries. The application form also require you to travel directly from port of entry to place of self quarantine without any stops along the way. |
| FLYING TO SELF-QUARANTINE |
| You may only fly to your province for self-quarantine if it is on the same day or just a few hours apart. If there are no flights, you would have to utilise the government quarantine facilities. Thereafter are not allowed to take an internal flight. |
| APPROVED LIST ON ARRIVAL IN SA |
| When you arrive in SA, Port Health will have a list of those approved for self quarantine. Only when both what you sent to Port Health and your applications match up will you be allowed to self quarantine. |
| APPLYING ONCE ALREADY IN QUARANTINE If you were not approved before arrival, YOU NEED TO RE-APPLY by submitting the form and the outcome of your negative Covid19 results. Your application will now include your government quarantine facility name and room number. If you receive approval prior to day 5, it will be subject to acquiring that result no test from prior to day 5 will be accepted. Please notify the nurse of your approval and negative result. |
| PLEASE NOTE THE POSSIBLE DELAYS: |
| Once you are approved, a list is sent to the clinical team that would provide you with a release note. |
| When you get an approval, it takes time to get you on a report to the clinical team. You are therefore required to not make any travel arrangements until such time as they you are informed of such by the clinical team. |
| Please note that the medical staff at your facility are not responsible for this delay. |
