I will attend WTM Africa this April, bringing CoTravel and my new book Travel with Purpose to the global stage. As travel continues to evolve, it’s more important than ever to ensure it remains meaningful, sustainable, and transformative—and WTM Africa is the perfect platform to drive this conversation forward.
WTM Africa is where the industry converges to shape the future of travel on an international scale. It’s a hub for connecting with key players, exploring emerging trends, and forging partnerships that redefine how we roam. Consider it a launchpad for critical discussions—whether tackling overtourism, exploring the rise of conscious consumerism, or examining the impact of travel influencers.
Travel with Purpose has the potential to become a movement, challenging conventional narratives of travel through #travelwithpurpose and #thepowerofthecollective. Driven by the Journey Journal, it advocates a more intentional approach to exploring the world, helping readers make informed choices, understand the industry, and achieve personal goals—ensuring that travel remains enriching for everyone involved.
Stepping into WTM Africa, I’ll examine how brands, businesses, and individuals can shift from purely transactional tourism to purpose-driven experiences. I aim to go beyond the generic bucket list mentality and walk my talk, proving that luxury travel, sustainable tourism, and ethical practices can coexist for the greater good.
One of my key objectives at WTM Africa is to connect with like-minded organisations and thought leaders committed to regenerative tourism, responsible storytelling, and ethical travel marketing—particularly those addressing the consequences of influencer culture in tourism.
I’ll also introduce my Travel-in-a-Box concept, designed with sustainability in mind. Every aspect, right down to the packaging, reflects how we can rethink our engagement with travel and spark hope for the industry’s future.
WTM Africa isn’t another travel event; it’s a catalyst for change. I intend to spark meaningful conversations, forge strategic partnerships, and champion a future where travel is guided by purpose rather than profit. Whether through speaking engagements, networking opportunities, or intimate discussions, I’m devoted to bringing the Travel with Purpose philosophy to centre stage. Ultimately, travel should enrich the places we visit every bit as much as it enriches us.
If you’re attending WTM Africa and want to shape the future of travel together, I would love to connect. Let’s make it personal, purposeful, and powerful. For collaboration ideas or media requests, contact me via email at paula@cotravel.co.za or at the event.
